Hi everyone! 
Below are the team’s updates for weeks 23 to 24 of 2024. First, as always, let’s introduce the fantastic team and what we’re building.
The Team
The Observability team at Canonical consists of Andrew, Dylan, Ibrahim, Jose, Leon, Luca, Mateusz, Michael, Pietro, and Simme. Our goal is to provide you with the best open-source observability stack possible, turning your day-2 operations into smooth sailing.
The Work (arbitrarily selected highlights)
This pulse marked the start on our HA solutions: Loki, Tempo, and design work for Service Mesh.
While most of the work was focused on that, we also worked on some bugs:
- Mateusz added support for object storage in the monolithic Tempo charm.
- Ibrahim fixed an issue with Grafana dashboards not syncing via cos-config.
- Ibrahim added PagerDuty native support to COS Alerter.
- Leon fixed some grouping issues in alertmanager.
- Leon addressed some inconsistencies with TLS on Loki.
