Below are the team’s updates for weeks 4 to 5 of 2025. First, as always, let’s introduce the fantastic team and what we’re building.
The Team
The Observability Core team at Canonical consists of Leon (Manager), Jose, Luca, and Mike.
Together with the Tracing and Profiling and Service Mesh teams, we form the full Observability team, managed by Simme.
The Work
Here’s the main progress we made this pulse:

new) Added ingress, catalogue relations to cos terraform modules - ( new) Automatically overwrite dashboard UIDs with a prescribed naming pattern, on the provider side
- ( new) Scrape Vector metrics endpoint for self-monitoring for cos-proxy-deployments
- ( new) Released our new and improved CI v1 with a nice tutorial

wip) Add a general purpose (no topology matchers) up/absent alert in prometheus and mimir - ( wip) Juju-doctor for and Probes for validating charms/deployments
