Hey everyone!

I’m Dominika, just wanted to pop in and say hi! I’ve just applied for the Customer Success Manager role at Canonical and I’m super excited about the possibility of joining you all.

I’m a big people person, a bit of a sport and health freak, and I absolutely love cooking. So if I end up joining the team, expect cookies at the earliest possible time!

If anyone feels like sharing what’s their highlight of the job here at Canonical, I would really appreciate it.

Also, if I have here any Dad Joke lovers then here’s one for you: Why did the computer show up at work late? Because it had a hard drive.

Have a grat day everyone! - Dominika

Bonjour, This is Marc from Quebec city : I’ve been involved in many things Linux since 1999-2000. It was love at 1st byte … and never strayed far from Debian distros. Last few years it’s Ubuntu more and more for their solid and complete product. I’m at the point now where I’d be thinking : why not work for Canonical and help them make and even greater impact in the IT world. Whatever they line-up for me : I’ll be answering the call. In the meantime I’ve applied on numerous posting on LinkedIn. And just now had a super pleasant conf-call with a product manager from the UK (Ishani). I hope there is much more to come. Regards, Marc

Hi Dominka, As soon as the accept me in - I’ll let you know ;- ) I already work in a Linux role : my desktops (office and home) and work (redhat, but Linux nonetheless). IMHO, Linux works is challenging and satisfying { contrarily to those that work on a product from Redmond - seem to express frustrations, more}. So, I’m ready for anything Canonical sees fit to match me with. Regards, Marc

Hello Everyone,

I am VERY excited about participating in this community. As someone who applied for the HR generalist position I am so pleasantly surprised at the amount of attention goes in to community and connection. This is what my profession strives for and the fact that Canonical does this shows me so much about the company already and it is surely impressive. I hope to connect with you all.

Hi all! I’m feeling very happy to be participating in this forum. I just applied for a GSI Partner Sales Director position and, although I’m not a deep tech guy :-), I do know some basic stuff. I’d love to understand more about Juju — many thanks in advance to anyone who can help me!

Hello everyone,

It has been a delight reading through your comments.

I’m Munirat, a Product/Project Coordinator from Nigeria with a background in EdTech delivery and a growing passion for open source infrastructure.

I joined this forum after applying for a role at Canonical and reading about how deeply collaboration and transparency are built into the company culture. That really resonated with me especially as someone who loves simplifying complex workflows and aligning teams to deliver real, user-serving solutions.

I’m excited to learn more about how open source decisions get shaped here, and hopefully contribute in any way I can.

Looking forward to connecting with more of you and exploring how product delivery and open collaboration can go hand in hand.

Regards, Munirat Oyewale.

Hi Everyone,

I’m Dr. Reuphillan Pelser, and I’ve recently applied for the Head of Talent Development position. It’s such a pleasure to become part of this vibrant community on Charmhub and see so many ā€œnewbyā€ posts.

My professional journey spans leadership development, global consulting, and customer strategy, with a strong focus on people-centric growth, part of the topic in my PhD thesis. I’m really passionate about building teams in cultures that unlock potential in our most valuable asset - people!

I have been a lifelong learner and educator, and I started my IT career in a team that used Linux in the 80’s - giving away my age/experience :). I’m inspired by open-source communities and how they connect innovation with collaboration and really keen to learn from your experiences.

Please do reach out—whether to chat about charms, leadership, or just to say hello. Looking forward to engaging with you all.

Kind regards, Reuphillan

Hi everyone!

I’m exploring and getting familiar with the Juju and Charm ecosystem. I come from a background in Software Quality assurance and project coordination, and I’m particularly interested in how open-source projects like these are structured and managed.

I was wondering how do contributors typically coordinate development and updates across Charms and models? Are there standard practices or tools used within the community for planning, tracking, or release management?

Would love to hear any insights, or even just good threads or docs to read through. Thanks for the great work and openness of this space!
