New Joiner connecting

Hello,

I am not a techy but I truly appreciate how digital innovations are shaping the future, that I am proud to share if I may that one of my sons is also into this digital & technology landscape as a software engineer.

And businesses now are transforming using digital technology, enabling doing business remotely. My preferred way of working, so I’d applied in Canonical for a Global Payroll Administrator post.

As I submit my application, and Canonical in their response, encourage me to join one of the communities. In my understanding, please correct me if I’m wrong, all 3 Canonical products are used and interrelated that forms their architectural framework for their workforce and all 3 communities are inter-collaborative.

CharmHub, I choose to join first not only because I want to know more about applications control & infrastructure and more but funnily for its name , I feel like everyone in the community are charming.

I humbly hope that Canonical would find me a fit partner for their goal and be able to collaborate and contribute in my administrative capabilities.

A pleasant day to all.

Hello everyone! My name is Eliot Huh and I’m a software engineer based in Chicago. I recently applied to Canonical’s Kafka data infrastructure position. I’ve worked as a software engineer in finance for a few years, where application performance was essential. We tended to write/manage much of the supporting services surrounding our applications with proprietary code, so the idea of using an orchestrator engine such as Juju is quite interesting to me. I’d definitely love to learn more and contribute to this community!

Hi to all the fellow applicants! I’m Sarah based in Berlin, Germany. An enthusiastic digital marketer who just applied for the job “Digital Marketing Graduate”. What brought me to this community is the professional & transparent path of the hiring process (mentioned in the email sent by HR) and my curiosity to get a deeper understanding of the company’s culture and strategy. I am impressed by the company’s approach to fostering community building in its different service pillars and letting externals engage with it! :+1: Hopefully I get the opportunity to get active here as an internal member, learn from masters, and add value to the company’s success.

Have a great time wherever you are located…

Hello One and All.

I’ve been tinkering around with Linux for what feels decades now (the learning never ends!) so the opportunity to apply for Junior Cloud Field Engineer is a privilege indeed.

I hope to have some great discussions with you all at some point. I’m from Liverpool BTW for any of you football fans out there!

Hi everyone.

I’m a Product Marketing Manager and I’m excited to join this vibrant community. While my background is not in technology and software development, I’ve always had a deep interest in tech, especially cloud technologies. I work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to create compelling go-to-market strategies, and now I’m eager to bring that experience to the open source space.

I’m particularly interested in raising awareness of cloud technologies and open source, creating engaging content, and supporting community growth through thoughtful communication strategies. I believe that product marketing can play a vital role in open source projects by building strong user communities and demonstrating the value of how open source and cloud technologies intersect and complement each other.

I look forward to learning from you all and contributing to some exciting projects in the future!

Best, I A

But I’m also willing to work in any marketing position really. I’m not really a tech girl, but I did a course once in HTML and CSS and loved it. Also started with a bit of JavaScript. I’m commenting because they welcome me to do it, so here I am. Hope I have luck in changing career path <3
