Charmed Kubeflow 1.7

Charmed Kubeflow 1.7 beta was released on March 8th, with the bug fixes and evolution updated on Discourse.

Between the Beta and the Stable version, the most noticeable changes are:

  • Addition of the kserve 0.10/stable and knative 1.8/stable (previously latest/edge was used)
  • Knative is well configured, using the right config options
  • The dashboard logout button now works in stable
  • Istio handles upgrades from 1.11 to 1.16 in an almost automatic way. An upgrade guide is available
  • Training operator and Seldon operator handle possible conflicts when upgraded
  • Dashboard side panel order was revisited to match the upstream project
  • Links in the dashboard side panel are now fully functional and point to Charmed Kubeflow websites

Publish a guide to deploy Charmed Kubeflow behind a proxy.

Bugs fixed

  • Allow access to default Kubeflow pipelineā€ change (GH159))

  • Charm missing kubeflow role aggregation rule that gives users access to SeldonDeployments (GH113)

  • Logout function causes crash loop (GH364)

  • Unit goes on BlockedStatus on conditions that cannot be resolved by a human operator (GH549)

  • Seldon-controller-manager fails to upgrade (GH101)

  • istio-gateway 1.16 incorrectly deploys istio/proxyv2 image version 1.11(GH197)

  • Change prometheus-scrape-config-k8s channel once available in stable (GH70)

  • training-operator is blocked when deployed as part Kubeflow bundle 1.6/stable(GH74)

  • User namespace is removed after upgrade from 1.6 to 1.7 (GH547)

  • Remove hook fails with not found error from k8s (GH95)

  • No guide available to install Kubeflow offline on Microk8s in a corporate envirement behind proxy (GH540)

  • kubeflow-roles failed to upgrade 1.6 to 1.7 (GH40)

  • Minio fails to upgrade 1.6 to 1.7 (GH108)

  • Connect to notebook server - RBAC: access denied (GH210)
