Vault charms now default to 2.0/stable

Vault charms: 2.0/stable is now the default track

We’re changing the default Charmhub track for both the vault (machine) and vault-k8s charms to 2.0/stable.

This aligns our charms with HashiCorp’s updated Vault release and support strategy.

What’s changing

  • New default track: 2.0/stable is now the default track on Charmhub for both vault and vault-k8s.

  • New deployments: New users should deploy Vault from 2.0/stable. This is our recommended and supported track, and it’s what you’ll get when running juju deploy vault or juju deploy vault-k8s without specifying a channel.

  • Existing 1.x deployments: The 1.x tracks (1.15 through 1.19) are being deprecated. Existing deployments will continue to run on their current track, but we recommend migrating to 2.0/stable to remain on a supported track.
