I want to try out Microstack on 4 HP Servers as an alternative for Vmware to create Vms and wondering if anyone had any ideas where I went wrong, tried it several times now, from fresh.
I’ve been following https://microstack.run/docs/multi-node
I installed Ubuntu and configured bond 0 with Management IP - 10.0.1.130\24 which is NAT’d to the internet. Bond 1 with Public IP range for use with VMs.
Set the host names and setup UFW, checked pings etc.
sudo snap install openstack --channel 2024.1/edge sunbeam prepare-node-script | bash -x && newgrp snap_daemon sunbeam cluster bootstrap --role control --role compute --role storage
I said no to proxy access and set IP range (10.0.1.135-10.0.1.154) for MetalLB
All goes fine and it gets stuck on Deploying Openstack Control Plane to Kubernetes (this may take a while) … waiting for services to come online (21/32)
happens each time, I can see the below output shows lots of services are not installing / pending, how would I now move forward with this ?
