Here are some of the works of the mighty Service Mesh team from weeks 16 and 17 of 2026, corresponding to pulse 8.
The Team

Together with the Tracing and Profiling and Observability Core teams, we combine to create the greater Observability team, managed by Simme.
The Work
Added a silencing feature to cos-alerter.- Istio-k8s now uses rocks!
- Using the service mesh library is no a bit easier.
- Istio-ingress can now connect to an upstream ingress.
Investigated using Envoy Proxy with Istio.
