The plan is to later transfer the ownership to the Data Platform Team. We are not requesting it right now because the IS team (the maintainer of the current charms) needs to still publish some fixes to the existing charms from those links.
What we could do is transfer to data platform team and add the IS team as collaborators instead
Let me know if you’d like to add data platform as collaborator, as per your original request. That also works, but will require the ownership change in the future, as you observed.
I checked with Tom Haddon and we can do this the way you commented (transferring the ownership to Data Platform Team and adding the original owner as a collaborator).
