Hi, is Caracal going to be an LTS version? Is there a procedure to upgrade a regular Bobcat version to this one? I’m asking because I know you guys have been working on a sunbeam version and the regular version.

@bravocarlos Charmed OpenStack 2024.1 (Caracal) will be supported for an extended period of time in the same way as other LTS versions of OpenStack available through the Ubuntu Cloud Archive (see here). Upgrades between Charmed OpenStack 2023.2 (Bobcat) and Charmed OpenStack 2024.1 (Caracal) are going to be fully supported as usual.

Thanks for this. I have a couple of questions:

  • When will there be a Deployment Guide for this?
  • Is there a plan for having this work on Ubuntu 24?
