Hi everyone!

Below are the team updates for the Tracing & Profiling part of the amazing Observability team. This is the update from the last two weeks.

What we’ve done

  • the main focus of these two weeks was on the pyroscope charms that already have the necessary scaffolding and a charmhub presence. We’re also close to merging its nginx config.
  • constraints were added to tempo-coordinator and tempo-worker charms’ Terraform modules, so that you’re able to specify i.e. anti-affinity rules for them in your Terraform code.
  • latest tracks have been removed from the Tempo and Parca charms on charmhub. As we’re moving to a track-based model, we recommend using the 1/stable channel.

Sneak peeks

Most of the focus for the next two weeks will be on Pyroscope. We hope the charms will be fully functional soon!
