Hello all, it’s me again
During the last few months we, in Juju, have been taking actions to streamline our processes and simplify our presence.
As a part of these actions, we have already consolidated documentation and new bugs tracking.
Below is the plan of action of how we will be migrating existing bug reports from Launchpad to GitHub.
The bug reports section in Juju Launchpad will be shut down by the end of 2025.
During the next few weeks
- Active triaged bug reports on Launchpad that are marked
High
will be migrated to GitHub. We will re-triage them and order them by priority of delivery. - The migrated bug reports will be marked as
closed
on Launchpad, with a link directing you to the migrated issue in GitHub. - All remaining bug reports that are inactive/stale/legacy, will be closed as
won’t fix
I will keep you updated on the progress of these steps in the comment section below.
“Wait, you didn’t migrate my bug report!
”
Don’t Panic!
Following the migration, if we didn’t migrate a bug report that you care about, you can either open a new issue in GitHub or ask us to migrate the bug from Launchpad.
We are not shutting down Launchpad bug section until the end of the year, so you have plenty of time.
What to expect next?
We will be working on a few other improvements of your experience, including better visibility on bugs and accessible release notes.
Let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
I also encourage you to hop onto our Matrix channel if you have any question on specific behavior and we will make sure to point you in the right direction if needed.
Sinan.
