Is it possible to do so? I can see the only options in the credentials for Azure are interactive and service-principal-secret, but a managed identity provider greatly eliminates the risk of sharing/keeping/managing credentials manually.

We don’t currently support this and to be fair we should and we have some work to do with a few clouds to improve our credentials story. If you have some time would you mind filing a bug on launch pad for us and provide your specific use case and even the expectation around experience? That way when we are designing this in the future we can take all of this into account.
