Recovery of Async replication
WARNING: it is an internal article. Do NOT use it in production! Contact Canonical Data Platform team if you are interested in the topic.
Pre-requisits
Please make sure both the Rome
and Lisbon
Clusters are deployed using the Async Deployment manual!
Recovery detached Cluster
If the relation between clusters was removed and one side went into a detached/blocked state, relate both clusters again and call the promote-cluster
action to restore async replication.
Recovery lost Cluster
If a cluster has been lost and needs a new member, deploy a new db application and initiate async replication. The data will be copied automatically after the promote-cluster
action is called, and the new Cluster will join async replication.
