This pulse we focused on wrapping up roadmap items for this cycle, and preparing for the upcoming Sprints. We are closing off this cycle with an exciting update:
The legendary ‘Troublemakers’ onboarding task for Canonical engineers has received major updates, reflecting the latest charming best practices. For everyone who began the task on the earlier version, you can continue, but any feedback on the latest version is greatly appreciated!
Charming
- Hosted an AMA with the AMER members of the Kubernetes team
- Hosted the monthly Charm Tech / Charmcraft Office Hours
- Released v1.5.0 of Concierge, which has less confusing logging
- Released v1.9.0 of Jubilant, with add-cloud and update-cloud
- Updated the Engineering Onboarding ‘Troublemakers’ task to reflect current charming best practices, and to make such updates easier in future
Charmlibs
- Continued work on the charmlibs.snap 2.0 rewrite
Documentation
- Published a how-to guide about publishing to Charmhub (#2420)
- Published a how-to guide about initialising a charm (#2449)
- Refreshed the machine workload how-to guide (#2443)
- Added a small amount of information about charmcraft test in the Ops docs, and switched one example charm to use it (#2440)
- Preparing improvements to the how-to guide about managing files in containers (#2470)
- Preparing a summary doc about subordinate charms (#2455)
