Change ownership to postgresql-watcher

Hi,

Please change ownership for https://charmhub.io/postgresql-watcher to be owned by https://charmhub.io/publisher/data-platform similar to https://charmhub.io/postgresql

It is important to show it is coming from “Canonical” org (currently shown as “Canonical Data Platform”).

Thank you.

Hi Alex,

LP teams are being deprecated. We are encouraging adding collaborators and / or creating a store account linked to your team. You should be able to manage package collaborators yourself once you make a release for this charm. If you make a store account linked to your team and want us to transfer ownership to that account we can. Please reach out if you have any questions.

Hi @colin-c

Thank you for your reply and the offer!

I believe we have list of troubles here:

  1. there is no way to transfer the ownership on collaboration page, e.g. https://charmhub.io/opensearch-dashboards-k8s

Should this still be requested here?

  2. Data team used to have (LP?) account and all our charms attached/owned by it https://charmhub.io/publisher/data-platform (shown as Canonical)

except the newly created one, which are owner by https://charmhub.io/publisher/dataplatformbot (shown as Canonical Data Platform)

AFAIK, after migration from LP to Store, there are some migrations have happened and now our ownersing is falling apart. We do not mind the account name.

What is important:

  • the same account used for all Data charms
  • it is shown as “Canonical”

How can we proceed here? Tnx!

Hi @taurus

  1. You still need to request ownership transfers here.
  2. If you want it to be shown by Canonical we should transfer ownership to the official “Canonical” account (similar to the snapstore). Before we can transfer it the following requirements must be met:
  • stable release & regular maintenance
  • complete metadata, summary description
  • need an icon
  • have a valid bug report link

One other option is to transfer ownership of all the data platform charms to the dataplatform bot (Canonical Data Platform) instead at which point you can add all the members of the data-platform team as collaborators.
