Call for testing: The Juju Terraform provider v1.5.0-rc1

The Juju team is happy to announce that the Juju Terraform provider v1.5.0-rc1 is released on 22 April 2026!

This release candidate has been pushed to the HashiCorp repository. For testing update your provider configuration to:

NOTES:

  • This release requires Juju controller version 2.9.49 or higher.
  • If using JAAS, this release requires Juju controller version 3.6.5 or higher.
  • This release uses Juju client api code from the Juju 3.6.21 release.

ENHANCEMENTS

  • Replace the CloudSpec controller facade call with calls to retrieve model summaries, cloud definitions, and bootstrap credentials by @alesstimec in #1158.

BUG FIXES

  • Fix juju_machine constraints state inconsistency when constraints are inherited from model defaults rather than being set directly on the machine by @ale8k in #1157.
  • Fix juju_ssh_key to allow deletion of the final key within a model by @ale8k in #1188.

  • Update Juju dependency to 3.6.21 and Terraform plugin framework to 1.19.0 by @alesstimec in #1174.
